Steve Travers – Chief Executive Officer
Steve leads the senior management team and is responsible for the Management of the Company and delivering the Strategy set by the Board. As a Board Director he has key involvement in setting strategy.
Steve specialises in working for privately-owned Companies effecting mergers and acquisitions and driving growth.
He was previously the Group Corporate Development Director for the Priory Group, a role he held for over eight years, leaving the company following the successful sale of the business to Acadia Healthcare, Inc . During his time at Priory Steve was a key member of the Executive team and contributor to growing the group, broadening the service provision from two to four divisions, launching a new elderly care business, and increasing the number of sites operated from 60 to over 420.
Before joining Priory, Steve held a number of operational and finance senior management positions. Prior to this, Steve trained as an accountant with Ernst and Young in London before moving in to corporate finance.
Paul Lawes – Chief Financial Officer
Paul manages the financial strategy and finance team for the business, as well as the group’s banking relationships and is a member of the Board.
Paul is a highly-experienced leader of commercial and finance teams in the aviation, leisure and hospitality sectors.
Paul joined Pathways in November 2017 from Trenchard Aviation Group, a fast growing aircraft maintenance business backed by Graphite Capital. As CFO Paul led the business through 4 acquisitions and a major finance restructuring.
Previously he was CFO at No1 Lounges, the award winning airport lounge, travel spa and pod hotel business. He also spent over a decade with the Virgin Group working in tax, finance and corporate development.
Paul is a chartered accountant, chartered tax advisor and he holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
Lisa Deane – Chief Operating Officer
Lisa is in charge of the Operations teams of the business, managing day-to-day operations and delivering the operational strategy set by the Chief Executive and Board.
Lisa’s most recent role was as Regional Director (Interim) for The Regard Partnership, a national LD care provider.
Prior to this she was the Operations Director / Chief Operating Officer for Craegmoor, one of the largest learning disability and care providers in the UK, managing the operations in relation to over 200 services.
During Lisa’s five and a half years at the company she was instrumental in the evolution of the business from a average acuity care provider, to one which now cares for some of the most complex individuals with autism/learning disabilities in the UK.
Prior to this Lisa held management roles at The Voyage Group and Durham County Council.
Gary Laville –Quality / H&S Director
Gary is responsible for all matters relating to the quality of our services and health and safety for the group, in addition to regulatory matters.
Gary has worked with people with learning disabilities for over 30 years, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for a new care provider.
Prior to this Gary was the Director of Quality for a national care provider, creating a sense of what good looked like and what worked for individual people. He had a material impact on the regulatory ratings of the homes under his remit through working closely with the home managers and other professionals within the organisation.
Before this Gary worked in and managed a number of homes.
Kirstie Jones – Human Resources Director
Kirstie is the principle advisor to the CEO on all human resources and training matters. She is the organisations employment law specialist and advisor and has lead responsibility for the organisation’s People Strategy.
Kirstie has 20 years HR experience with significant and recent involvement in the care sector. Her experience covers successful integration of acquisitions and developing and retaining through engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
In her last role Kirstie successfully introduced an employee reward and recognition initiative which lead to an increase in staff retention and higher employee engagement scores.
