Why do you process my information?
We collect information about the people we support, students, their families and other contacts, as well as persons with whom we may need to be in contact about business matters.
We collect this information with the consent of the individual, or their appointed guardian, in order to provide appropriate care and support, fulfil contracts with Local Authorities and others, and comply with other legal obligations. We may process some information in line with the legitimate interests of the business, such as analysis of data to ensure proper management of our services.
Where we have collected your information with your consent, or for purposes in line with our own business interests, you have the right to object or withdraw your consent. If you wish to do so, you should contact the Data Protection Officer.
What information do you collect, and how do you use it?
The information we collect depends on the reason for which we have collected it.
Information about the people we support in order to provide appropriate care and support, and in order to comply with legislative requirements.
If you access our care and support services, we will require information about your specific circumstances in order to ensure we can provide you with individualised care.
We may collect some or all of the following information, as required: contact details, next of kin, information about health and wellbeing, religion or spiritual beliefs and sexuality, criminal record history, preferences and lifestyle information.
Information about students in order to provide appropriate care, support, and educational services and in order to comply with legislative requirements.
If you access our educational services, we will require information about your specific circumstances in order to determine how best to support you. We will also require information about your educational profile and experiences, for example examination results.
We may collect some or all of the following information, as required: contact details, next of kin, information about health and wellbeing, religion or spiritual beliefs and sexuality, criminal record history, preferences and lifestyle information. We will also collect information about your educational progress, history and experiences.
Salutem Newsletter and other marketing communications
We use Google Analytics to track how our website and shop are used. The Analytics tool collects anonymised information such as country, referral channel, gender, and number and times of visits for website users. We use this data to improve our services.
Will you share my information with anyone?
We don’t routinely share your information with anyone. Where we are required to share information, we will only do so with your consent or knowledge, or to comply with a legal obligation.
Salutem operates social media accounts on a variety of platforms, including Twitter and Facebook, for the purposes of facilitating communication between groups and promoting the work of the organisation. We also publish information on our website and in our newsletter.
We will only publish information about you on our website or social media accounts, in our newsletter, with your consent. You have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. If you would like more information, please contact the Data Protection Officer.
We moderate comments on our website and social media accounts to protect those who view them. We will delete any comments which contain information about a person, other than the commenter, and anything which may be considered slanderous, libellous, discriminatory, abusive, or offensive.
If you are commenting on or sharing our posts, you should be aware that social media are public platforms. We cannot control how information you provide on a public forum may be used by others.

How will you protect my information?
We have a number of measures in place to protect personal information.

How can I access my information rights?
